Post Pageant Celebratory Event @ Reebonz

Happy to reunite again with the ladies. Was watching on DVD on our finals that day. So many memories that I wished time could just stop. Although the night was really intense and nerve wrecking but it was fun and filled with love. The only regrets I have is not taking enough pictures!

Thank you Reebonz for the generous gesture and not forgetting ERM Singapore who made it happened.

Meena, Karine, Liz, Vivian and myself, the top 5 was each given a bag to bring home as a gift to commemorate the win.

Hubs was there too!

With Karine & Liz

Our very own, Mrs Congeniality, Jolin who never fail to help us take pictures and makes us laugh

Love my bag - An Alexander Wang Rocco Duffel Bag in lambskin. Rose-gold stubs at the bottom of the bag to complete the chic look. It also has a detachable shoulder strap suitable for all occasions!

The Recovery

I am not someone who is able to take pain. I remember backing up a few times for ear piercing and it took me a few weeks to finally do it. Having a baby is the greatest thing in the universe but delivering the baby is always the hardest part. I am sure many agreed.

This time for this eye bag procedure, I think I should be given a bravery award, seriously. Well, its not that scary at all but the thought of a "surgery" freaks me out. Thank god, no removing of stiches is needed.

Anyway, knowing that I am in good hands of Dr Shens and most importantly, able to look prettier its all worthwhile!

And so, after the surgery, I went for lunch and headed home for rest as I am still having double vision.
The first few hours was normal, I didn't felt much and took a rest. However, woke up after about few hours and started vomiting. Gosh, this happens to me every time when the anaesthesia wore off. I had the same reaction during my C-section too. Guess this does not happen to every one, just individual reaction. Put on ice packs and felt much better during the night time.

The next day, woke up with some blood found on my pillow and quickly went to peek into the mirror. Looks quite ok and didn't felt any pain. Some swelling and discharge from the eyes but totally manageable

Here's my Day 1

Swelling quite a bit but all was well hence I head out to get my things done. Ha, hubs was afraid that people will think I was beaten up by him or something.

Day 2

The swelling went off quite a bit but started to feel some discomfort around the eyes around whenever I laugh or strain my eyes. As I needed to be back at work in 2 days time, I try to rest as much as I can. Had the ice packs periodically as it helps with the swelling and the cold will just help you feel better overall!

Day 3

Cool! The swell was almost gone. It looked more like dark circles rather than swell.

Here's the comparison. My eyebags are totally gone!!!

And so, headed back to work on Day 4! Feeling so excited to show my colleagues the results. Went to work with light concealer and make-up. If I did not share about this surgery, I guess nobody would even notice!

Here's my Day 7;

The recovery is not as bad as I thought it would be. Actually I was still able to move around and complete my daily routines. Just needed to be extra careful on the eye area.

Totally no regrets at all. If anyone has the same problem like me, go for it, you will not regret!

Lo Hei

This year marks on 12 years at Rasa Sentosa. Every year during CNY, I am always blessed to have the chance to do the tradition Lo Hei with many friends and clients throughout the 15 days of CNY. Does that means that my luck will be very good? Ha.

Not sure if many is aware. The tradition Lo Hei is practise only in Singapore and Malaysia. Gosh, I always thought that this Lo Hei thing is originated from HK or China. Was chatting with one of the Chinese national guests and they have not even heard about it!

The never fail group picture took with the team at Rasa. Love.

Next up was at Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore with a 4 course Western Dinner specially prepared by the Chefs. All the dishes was unique and taste so good!

The last Lo Hei was held at the new Hotel Jen, Tanglin. It was also a reunion with all the colleagues from the sister properties.

CNY is over and Hope this Monkey year will be smooth sailing and blessed with luck the whole year round!

EyeBag Procedure - Shens Clinic

Happy that I am now one step closer to my perfect look!

After the pageant, I have became very conscious on how I look when I am in public with make-up and also, bare face.
Lately, I have been "working" very hard on the 'must do" daily skin care routine.

Well I am very happy with the way I look but just like any other ladies, we are constantly buying products and numerous visit to clinics to make sure that we maintain or look even better. From young, I was never the girl who would do the routine of toner, mask, moisturizer etc hence at this age, I am regretting big time.

To have a good complexion, you really have to make an effort to eat well, sleep well and rest well. However for features, we are born with it so we got to live with it. BUT now, its easy as 1,2 3. If minor correction can be done to make you feel more confident, pretty and happy, WHY Not?

I used to think my nose is alright, just the right size but after the nose fillers, I am totally hooked. Nose fillers definitely can help you look so much better on pictures and in person;

The only concerns I have now is my eyebags. I have trouble putting on concealer and often looking tired even after a good rest the night before.

So I have decided to visit Dr Shens again for advice. Always happy to meet with Dr Shens at his clinic. He is always with smiles and making you so comfortable to talk to. Despite his busy schedule, he sat me down and shared with me detailed information on the procedure, recovery period, what to expect and also pictures of the past cases. And this is him;

The Surgery Day

I was very nervous the moment I stepped into the Orchard but lucky, hubby and bff, Veron took time off to show their support. With me was also, Xue Ting and IZ who is there to witness the change!

The moment I was at the clinic entrance, I was greeted by the cheerful receptionist at the clinic. Took about 30 minutes to prepare the paper work and have my before pictures taken. In a flash, I was lying at the theatre, waiting for Dr Shens. IZ was also with me to film the process. Ha, I guess he is equally nervous having to witness the whole procedure:)

Moments later, Dr Shens appeared. Knowing that I was nervous, he kept chatting with me, asking me many questions to divert my attention while he inject the aesthetics. During the procedure, there was even music played just to calm me down.

And before I knew it, it was done in less than 20 minutes! .Cool is it? The whole procedure was simple and quick.
Was so happy that it was done so fast and all my worries was gone. Goodbye eyebags!!

Will share about my journey to recovery soon!

Happy Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day, also the last day of my 10 days holidays! Oh my god, Can't believe I am returning back to work tomorrow. The thought of waking up at 7 kills me. That's life, you need to work to achieve your goals and most importantly, provide for your kids.

This 10 days was really well spent with the kids, family and also, removing this irritating eye bags of mine for the past 34 years. Will share more on the journey soon.

Today is Valentine's Day. It used to be an important day for me. It is the day when I need to feel important and how loved I am. But when times goes by, I have realised that being and staying together as a family is more important than anything or, maybe this year it coincides with CNY. Spending the whole 10 days together was enough to make me feel so loved and happy.

I love my two precious and also, my dearest hubs who have been with me thru lots. A 11 years marriage is not as simple as many would think. It needs patient, understanding and communication.

Lill Denicia is growing up so fast, cant seems to keep tracks on all her milestones.
One genes both precious got from me, the love for cameras.

Finally she gets to wear the top we've got for her during our last bkk trip

Chinese New Year Day 2

Mum is always the greatest role in the universe. She is the one who takes care of all your needs and wants.
Selflessness, Giving and Inspiring

I am so blessed to have her, cant imagine life without her.

Day 2 is always a dressed down day, slacking at mum's house. This year, so blessed to have the whole family together.
Its quite unusual for all to gather.

And, ha, Dad is officially on Facebook

A wefie

The kids

Seriously, I think all of them have similarity especially the black hair and features

Heart all of them

Chinese New Year Day 1

Family portrait is an essential every CNY. You get to meet people whom you might not meet in years, having the chance to catch up, giving your concerns and hugs. I must say, I am one of the guilty ones who often forget to spend time with Ah ma and the rest of the aunties.

This year, I hope my family will have good health, prosperity and blessed with love

My CNY is usually quite routine, packed only on Day 1

One killer that you meet every new year - The food. Going house-to-house, eat and eat. In fact from Day 1 to Day 15.
